Kantha is a traditional method of embroidery popular in Bengal, India. The cotton saris are layered and then joined with a simple running hand stitch of colorful thread to create one of a kind vintage throws. Each throw has its own unique character which occasionally includes worn areas, missing threads and the artful patterns created by piecing together the different saris. These variations are a reflection of each product’s distinctiveness and individuality.
